I have contacted Biden, that indeed, he will fail due to the absolute power of the Kobe Bryant "10" meme, and this was dispatched by your own hand.

I have emailed the Biden Foundation to cancel his presidential campaign:

Sir,

It has been brought to my attention, by a reputable source(his name is BigBadWooof) that Mr. Biden has absolutely no chance of winning the presidency.

He proved this by posting a Kobe Bryant meme.

I am sorry, it doesn't look like it's in the cards for Mr. Biden. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done now.

Maybe some other time,

France probably isn't far off itself, Germany would've definitely rivaled their military history if they'd had a little tact - instead, they just went super hard as soon as their nation was formed

Joe Biden has yet to enter the 2020 presidential race — he’s been weighing the decision in a closely watched will-he-or-won’t-he saga — but the former vice president still leads the pack in Iowa.

According to a new Des Moines Register/CNN/Mediacom Iowa Poll of likely Democratic caucusgoers, 27 percent say Biden is their first choice for president. That’s down slightly from the 32 percent who said the same in December, but it tops the 19 other declared and potential candidates tested.

Biden has a 2-percentage-point advantage over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. Though that’s within the poll’s 4.9 percentage point margin of error, other numbers bode well for the former vice president and suggest a stronger advantage over Sanders. The poll of 401 likely Democratic caucusgoers was conducted March 3 through 6.

“If I’m Joe Biden sitting on the fence and I see this poll, this might make me want to jump in,” said J. Ann Selzer, president of the Des Moines-based Selzer & Co., which conducted the poll. “I just can’t find much in this poll that would be a red flag for Joe Biden.”

Seventy percent of respondents say they believe Biden’s political views are neither too liberal nor too conservative, but instead, are “about right” — the highest percentage of any candidate tested.

And 64 percent — including a majority in every demographic group — say they think Biden’s experience is an asset and he should enter the race. About a third of respondents say his time has passed and he should not run.

“He’s got a lot of years of political experience — being a senator for over 35 years, being the vice president,” said Travis Underwood, a 30-year-old Ottumwa resident and poll respondent who said Biden is his first choice for president. “And he’s very charismatic. It seems like today we’re in an era where it’s all partisan politics. There are not too many out there who are middle-of-the-road. Biden is moderate, and that means he actually talks about issues.”

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

Well, if we are being realistic here, who else does the democratic party have that even has a chance of beating trump?

Warren? lmao
Harris?
Tulsi Gabbard?

they would all unfortunately get flattened by lunatic trump

The only three that would be capable of beating him would be Biden, Kerry ... and I don't even know if Sanders would stand a chance, considering how terrified the U.S is of socialism, trump would probably tare old cranky grandpa to pieces

How about this - first true bipartisan presidency John Kerry + Ron Paul to save US democracy from Israeli puppet and lunatic trump. They would both serve for 2 years as president and vice president

I think a lot of people are giving Trump way too much credit for electoral popularity. He probably couldn't have beaten anyone except Hillary Clinton. He wouldn't have even won the Republican primary except that race never narrowed, and he was able to differentiate himself from a slew of Southern Fried fundamentalists and three boring moderates.

Trump was never too popular and he has definitely got less popular this year. Significantly he is losing favor among Republicans so I would have to think his momentum among independents can't be good.

qman posted a link to a poll that showed Trump recently hit 53% popularity. I said let's see if that surprising result is replicated in other polls. Everything I see say his numbers are bad.

I'd love to see Tulsi debate Trump... and Sanders & Trump for that matter.

I loved that whole cowardly display where he goaded Sanders into raising 10 million or so for charity to set up a debate between them, then backed out when Sanders did it in a couple days... :lolsy: you know he was like.. oh this will make me look tough!, he could never raise money this fast... "oh fuck..."

Tulsi is almost the complete opposite of Trump... and yet in a strange way, actually what he claims to be. - as in willing to negotiate with anyone, yet be beholden to no one.

As far as Twitter goes, this was one of the most apt I've seen. (The context, is this was right after Trump refused to criticize Saudi after they torture, dismembered, and dissolved in acid the journalist (who was working for a US paper) in Turkey)

Most of the ones I see are about 53% disapprove  with around 41% approval.

Rasmussen (not sure why they're considered legitimate anymore) displays a consistent 8-9% bias in his favor, so either the other 8-9 polling sources are biased or they are :smilingpuppy:

Furthermore; something that I think may become a major challenge in any election situation - is that his popularity has slid 17-27% in most states - but most significantly, states that are/were vital electorally to republicans... Texas, Illinois, Pennslyvania, Ohio & Florida

Trump lost the last election by 3 million votes (2.1%) to the most tarnished candidate the democrats could have nominated.  It’s only by a sheer fluke of the electoral system that he’s president in the first place. Just about anyone can beat Donald Trump. By the time the general election campaign is on, the US will almost certainly be in the middle of a recession - just look at the February jobs report. Job creation has pretty much stopped. We will be seeing regular monlthy job loses within months. Trump is going to lose. If the jobs numbers are looking bad by summertime, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a number of republican challengers in a primary fight.

Anti-trump sentiment runs deep even in traditional republican areas. Check out this analysis of the 2018 midterms and the blue wave that overperformed even the most optimistic predictions.

A vast majority of counties showed increased Democratic support in 2018 House election

Quote:
the Democratic wave is all encompassing: 83 percent of the voting population lived in counties where support for Democrats has improved since 2016. This increased Democratic support was not confined to traditional Democratic base counties. It occurred in suburbs, smaller metropolitan and rural counties, and most noticeably, in counties with concentrations of older, native-born and white residents without college degrees. Moreover, at the state level, enough states flipped from Republican majorities in the 2016 presidential election to Democratic majorities in the 2018 House elections to project a 2020 Democratic Electoral College win.

I guess you’ll have the base 30% of trump supporters who will believe his lies about not being in a recession in the middle of a recession. 30% isn’t enough to win an election.
