Watch the DNC churn when Joey boy throws his hat in the ring. If he gets the nomination, I will vote for Cthulhu.

I don’t see a path to victory for Joe. He’s ran twice already and lost horribly. The establishment must think he’s going to carry the South (despite being architect of the Crime Bill and literally eulogizing Storm Thurmond) because he’s only going to symphony delegates away from the other establishment favorite, Kamala, in California (which she absolutely needs to carry to have a chance).

Biden has the most problematic record of any high profile Dem, and he’s running as a centrist. He’s going to get bludgeoned on the debate stage. But hey, toss another corporate goon into the ring to split the vote, it only helps Bernie.

The only way this makes sense to me is that they’re hoping these dozen shit tier candidates prevent Bernie from winning 50.1% of the delegates, leading to a contested convention where they’ll pull some fuckery and install an establishment pick as the nominee. I don’t see that happening though.

That's a good prediction, primarily, it is a refreshing take if it comes true. I hope I am wrong, but I see him as a formidable contender.....not because of his persona, but the corporate background you eluded too. For God's sake his "tough on crime/ drugs" legislation was a complete disaster for minorities.

This election, it would be nice to have a choice that doesn't involve a bukkkake around the establishment.

Biden is too centrist for me, but I think he is one of the most decent politicians we have.

I don't dislike yang. He seems like a decent guy, to me, but certainly not my candidate. I would gladly take Bernie or Gabbard.

The end of a NYT article from yesterday:
Quote:
Even if Mr. Sanders does talk more about himself, his competition presents a new set of challenges that his own biography may only compound.

“At the end of the day, he is still an old white man,” said Tracy Sefl, a veteran Democratic strategist and formerly a senior adviser to the super PAC Ready for Hillary. “So there are lots of other things that he wants to talk about besides those parts of his identity.”

Final sentence from NBC story yesterday:

Quote:
In her post-campaign memoir, "What Happened," Clinton wrote that Sanders' attacks on her "caused lasting damage, making it harder to unify progressives in the general election and paving the way for Trump’s 'Crooked Hillary' campaign."

I guess you guys never thought the straight white male label would come back and haunt your political goals.  Be careful what you wish for when it comes to identity politics.
