I think most 'natives' now support a Bernie style Medicare for All, where everyone pays 2.2% of their income for healthcare.  It works out to be cheaper for the bottom 95%.


I have always been an advocate of universal health care in the US.

That's why I suggested that, if we had an immigration policy like the one Christopera had suggested, and we had universal healthcare, we could make employers pay a special tax for each immigrant worker they employ/sponsor's medical coverage. That would be miles better than having illegal/undocumented immigrants flooding ER's, and not paying their medical bills.



That makes it so much less appealing to hire illegals, the elite love the status quo.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

all of the jobs that offered healthcare are a waste of time now

why make 2-3 dollars more than min
when you can not have a job or work part time and get health care anyway

the big business of this country aren't paying any of it's workers shit, hyper inflation and taxes and the upper class are wrecking this country

Job competition should increase with universal healthcare because people won't be tied to jobs simply for that benefit. They'll have the freedom to explore other options.

That's an interesting caveat.

We may even have some older people drop out of the labor force altogether, if they no longer need to work to maintain their health insurance. That could possibly create more demand for workers.
