Does this BRF cake look right?
    #25709651 -

I'm afraid my field capacity is off.

You can see the imprint from the syringe. Is the BRF-verm mix suppose to 'give' like this? Inbetween inoculating jars, a good deal of the mixture would stick to the syringe. The field capacity has to be off right?

May have been on the wet side. How long has it been? Give it a week minimum before you start to question it or worry. IME BRF cakes are perfect when you stick to the standard 2:1:1 ratio. V/H2O/BRF the only time I have experienced a moisture mishap is when I nocced with more than 2ccs of spore solution per jar. I was testing what 4ccs would do. I'll tell ya... It throws off the moisture content and you scrap it.

It's been two days but I have enough materials to throw out the cakes and start a new batch. If excess moisture causes that much problem, I'd rather throw it out now.

I'd wait and see, 2 days isn't long enough to tell.
The myc finds a way somehow, you may be surprised.
Go buy more jars, follow a proven tek and start more while you wait.

If you can then why not make more jars?

This is the best response. Keep these jars going and make more if you have supplies.  Also get some agar going for grain, although you need a pressure cooker. This hobby takes time and its best to have a couple of projects going at one time, if ya can.

Patience is a must in this hobby
