Albino a+ clone monotub grow * 1

Hey fellow shroomery brothers and sisters! I’m new to these forums but not new to growing mushrooms but still fairly inexperienced. This monotub is 5 quarts wbs spawned to straight coir only. I didn’t intend to case. I just did damion5050 Tek with a top layer of coir only to cover the exposed wbs grains. Well it started fruiting super fast without being put into fruiting conditions when about 30 percent of the layer was colonized. So I put poly fill in the holes and decided to let it do what it wants to. This clone is my first clone I’ve used and I’ve had the best pinsets from this clone then I ever had with multispore. The fruit I cloned was the first pin to show up which also happened to be the largest mushroom in that tub. I ate that single mushroom which I’ll picture below and it was the strongest trip I’ve ever had even when I’ve eaten 5 dried grams of other mushrooms. I’ll continue to do updates on this grow. Every time I get amazing pinsets half of them usually abort leaving me with barely any for a yield.

So,if you're having a high amount of aborts, it's likely that your FAE or your sub field capacity is off, like too wet probably. FAE is easier to fix. :smile:

High amounts of aborts usually means you need to recheck things.

You're doing good, though!

I'm just trying to pinpoint where issues might be. You have tighter amounts of pins than my AA+, but the AA+ that runs here is big. Probably average of 45-50 grams per shroom. So different genetics are likely.

I really don't mean to be discouraging to you. Hope you take what I am saying without offense, as none is intended.

Ive ran this same clone 3 times before this. I’ve done it with less water in the substrate, more water then required, and the results were basically th same. I’m thinking that I open it to fan too much when they are still pins and allowing the humidity they need at the surface to leave thus wrecking the micro climate making some of them abort. So I loosened the polygil and am fanning much less. Probably 3 times a day instead of like 6. I’ve also tried only misting the sides of the tubs and I’ve done it while misting the pins directly. So maybe misting the pins before has caused them to abort. I don’t think it’s fae, im thinking it’s a humidity thing. I’ve dialed in my tubs pretty well after about 6-8 grows. This clone has given me the best pinsets to date in all three runs I’ve done with it. After I get them to maintain themselves and not abort I’ll be one happy camper. Don’t at all think your offending me by giving advice. I know there’s something I’m doing wrong for them to abort.

I’ve grown this clone out 3 times before this tub. So far it has proven to be a good clone. Colonized so fast, pins very quickly, and I consistently get amazing pinsets. I just have to keep them from aborting. The cloned fruit this came from gave me the most visual and intense trip I’ve ever had st any dose. The mushroom pictured above was 16.6 grams fresh which I’m not buying that 10 percent of that weight is what it would have been dry. I’ve had smaller mushrooms dry out to almost 4 grams so I’m thinking hat was a hefty dose I took. I couldn’t have been luckier to have cloned that one. Not often can you really judge potency off one mushroom.

Will do my friend! Every day I’ll be updating with pictures. I have another tub without a top layer of coir that’s knitting up. I’ll be doing updates of that tub also.
