Week 23 Check in...

Texas Orange Caps - WBS after first shake


Gave the TOCs a good shake at 30% and they are recovering okay.  Jars still look a little questionable.  I'll give them another shake in the next day or two.

Streaked 7 plates using these 6" sterile swabs. Buried two in the agar and ripped off some fibers and buried those in another plate.


1/9: Transferred from germ plates



3/16: I ended up taking my RW plates to T4 before inoculating some jars a few weeks back.

The jars looked decent.

Spawned two monotubs today and will have a few more to spawn over the next week or so.







Harvested a handful of tubs when the site was down but never updated. Ended up with a revert unfortunately. I took a clone from this to grow just for shits.

Grew out that RW revert clone I took.

Been a while since I updated. Got my first stones directly from the jar with no sub & tub.


I also put the rest of the colonized oats into coir/sand with another quart that I left the stones in to see if they'll grow much more and give fruits.

I kind of forgot about this thread and Shroomery in general. So here's pictures of my second flush:



At this point I'm pretty sure my vendor screwed up and sent me Albino A+ instead of GT. But it doesn't matter really. Potency-wise they're good and when dried, turn into a silver instead of a golden color.

That one surviving tub gave me several more flushes, one every week. It's ridiculously tough. Here's my latest flush from today, which took almost two weeks this time:



I expect it to eventually give up though. Harvested 60g dry from that one tub. I can only wonder what if the other five didn't die on me...

Just about ready to wrap this little adventure up. The last two tubs were still putting out some fruits, but I chose to shut down fruiting for a while.

My totals of Tamps from 10 myco quarts across 4 tubs was 4.53 oz dry fruits and 415 g of fresh stones. I still have 4 or 5 jars of stones that I plan to harvest as the urge strikes.

0.453 oz per quart are rookie numbers, but these were my first try with a stone producer, from mss and my final 2 myco qt tub gave 1.18 oz/qt dry fruit plus 175 g fresh stones, so I ain't even mad.


Time to get back to agar and some new adventures.

This was fun. We should do it again some time!
