In 2002, the spirit of Datura during a trance meditation gave me a very simple choice, in very clear words, that made me quit smoking for 7 years:





Sharp as a thornapple spike - that choice really is the bottom line.

I put out my cigarette, I smoked 50 cigs a day at the time.

I started coughing like a maniac for weeks as my lungs tried to expel the tar.

After about three weeks, I woke up to a heart attack at 4 AM in the morning.

Had I still smoked 50 cigarettes a day then, I likely would have died.

One Nightshade spirit helped me break the deadly stranglehold of another Nightshade spirit right before it would have killed me.

That's really great! 

Did you actually ingest datura?  Ive heard that stuff is no fun at all, to say the least.

Ibogaine is the standard for psychedelic addiction breaking, by the way.  I always like to get that piece of info out there, because it is not well enough known and could help so many people.

Lots of people have good experiences with datera, there is thread is somewhere else on the forum called poison path by a guy who takes it all the time. But it is highly dangerous. These sorts of plant teachers are only meant for serious people who know what they are doing and are willing to start with the most insanely small doses. Its not for people looking for a fun trip  like you can have on psilocybin or even a cheap spiritual experience.

Quitting smoking was one of the best accomplishments of my life.  I just stopped and it was not as hard as I thought it would be.

My father and his father died of smoking related diseases.

I feel strongly about that pepople should not ingest more than a medical dose of Datura. Every now and then I rip a fingernail sized tip off a leaf and eat it, to connect with the spirit of the plant.

No one should take deliriant doses, its too toxic and delirium itself opens you up to doing dangerous if not lethal things such as ramming a pencil into your eyeball or cutting off your dick.
