I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

I heard on NPR that Indiana is an example of a State where healthcare costs are actually going down this year.

For the record, Indiana opted out of Obamacare.

So, while Obamacare costs are going up between 22 and 200 percent, the system VP-elect Pence presided over is reducing costs.

I'm cautiously optimistic that the predictions that Trump will raise healthcare costs are just more bullshit from a complicit media that doesn't even realize it lost all its credibility by attempting to disguise editorial commentary as the evening news.

If they keep part of Obamacare it'll probably be expanded medicaid eligibility. That part actually helped the poorest of the poor.

It's incredible to see Trump backpedaling so soon, with his inauguration way off in the distance.

I wonder what will happen if a large portion of his supporters decide Trump conned them. "Drain the swamp" indeed, his government looks like it will be filled with family members and quintessential capital rats like Guliani

Yes, Trump is very quickly, and to mind pragmatically backing off his campaign promises. He says he wants to keep parts of the ACA, and now he's only talking about only deporting 3 million of the illegal aliens, who are convicted of other criminal offenses. He's very unsure if he'll try to prosecute Hillary on criminal charges, because he wants to concentrate on creating jobs, It sounds good to me, but there are two groups he needs to worry about alienating,(and at that point, the Dems are not one of them). First there are his grass roots supporters who the more moderate, and can handle this, but the extremists are going to feel very betrayed and some of them,  are nuts. Second, there are some of the older Republican establishment, whos has hated him since day one, because they think he might ruin the Party for 40 years.

      There are two crazy scenarios that I wouldn't even mention except that I keep reading about it. One is that Trump gets assassinated. The other is that the Republican Establishment waits for him to do something so unorthodox or off the wall that they convict him of impeachment.

      I hope that neither of those things happen. Trump is a maverick, and nobody knows what he's going to do but he might do something good. He is a complete unknown at the political level. Pence disgusts me, and the idea of what he would do as President with a Republican Congress is horrifying. So Trump won. Give him his 4 years and see what happens. Usually the Republican goes extreme for the primary, and then rush to the middle for the general election. Trump didn't do that. He is moving toward the middle after winning. All we can do is wait and see.

And he will address the others after that happens. I would say deporting millions of illegals is not a compromise at all, hell liberals wanted to bring in people from the Middle East, that's not going to happen.

Lets be clear on this. There aren't anywhere near "2 to 3 million" illegal aliens charged with crimes unrelated to their unlawful presence here in this country. Add up all the undocumented murderers, thieves, rapists, dealers and you aren't anywhere close.

To deport 2 million illegal aliens; we will have to charge the majority of them with felony counts along the lines of "unlawfully crossing the border" or "fraudulently working under a false identity."
