people will judge you--not everyone, but enough--even tho it's true perspectives are changing and what was once unacceptable is now becoming standard, for many people tattoos still carry the unsavouriness of criminality

i intentionally have some very visible tattoos (hands and face), partly due to the fact that i know some people will judge my character based off of these shallow aspects of the self and decide i'm not worth getting to know--the way i figure, saves me the time finding out they are judgmental assholes somewhere down the line

Sort of true. Tattoos are a way of hiding socially in plain site in regard to this statement. Sort of anti-social social.
