entering masonic order... getting involved with esoteric societies.. opinions?
    #22709050 -

so. I have been invited to a masonic lodge. I have been in contact with other people involved with similar things.. and for the most part have been told in a typical lodge, 5 out of 500 actually even understand what the hell is going on. so anyone have any experience with this sort of stuff.  is it even worth it?

Depends what your trying to get out of it if your trying to join a new world order or some other conspiracy thing than no. If your trying to do charity and help others while making valuable networking connections, yes. The masons are mostly a bunch of men who want to help others that’s basically the base for it.

It depends on the lodge, they vary widely.

No New World Order bullshit lmfao! but more along the lines of just learning the ancient practices I'm very curious about the language translations the masons I have talked to have discussed with me and all of that... I am just afraid they won't accept me.. because I know they come to your house to assess your character and I'm 23 and broke with no job and disability and not in good times... so I fear they wouldn't accept me.

was invited to Roseville lodge. in Michigan near Detroit.

but If I were to join I would petition tolan lodge 159.

I have many friends who are masons. Your financial background should not decide whether they accept you or not. They typically don't like drug use though or if your house is dirty than that is another bad sign.  If your serious about joining I would hide your drugs well and clean your house up as best you can and be courteous to any mason that comes for a home visit. Good luck neighbour.

that's another thing, if I have to hide who I am than what is it gonna be like when I go to a meeting? I'm gonna have to put on a little suit and just go along with it like a religious ceremony?

Well your suit would be your apron but just don't go to meetings on drugs. Anyways most of them seem to think of it of a religious ceremony in certain ways, there is alot of traditions and ceremony’s.

maybe Ill wait till I'm older.. and have the time to be into that kind of stuff.  Ill just get some books for now. I'm just really interested in the esoteric stuff and I would probably learn a lot of the info and quit.

Then your best bet is probably just to do alot of the studys on your own. Most of the information should be available online. The only reason I say that is because it doesn’t seem like your joining the masons for all the reasons that they're a group and you may find yourself disappointed in what the group actually does at there meetings ALOT of the masons is charity work and networking with traditional stuff mixed in. Either way you go best of luck on your studys.

yeah I know what they do I grew up catholic and even though I heard they want nothing to do with catholics I always remember going to churches and seeing them in half dress sometimes doing some kind of charity work.  I wouldn't mind doing any of that at all.. I just don't think I'm at that point in my life yet I'm more in the research phase... Ive read up on it a lot but theres just so much and every mason you ask you get a different answer

Fremasons/masonic lodges most always help the community in various ways.

They do good deeds more so than what you would imagine churches do for the community.
I'd say go for it, to meet interesting people and find a way to help the community out.

They have nothing to do with the Illuminati or world orders/politics unless your in the top 5 lodges
