Well there are trip reports sections, haven't been there myself too much; then there's the journal - but I'd generally feel you have to link to that to get many viewers.
I think it's awesome that you are writing a book about it. I've given a lot of thought to the best ways to share this information and so forth - and other things, including sacred stuff in general -
to me, writing a book is excellent, because then it lasts for many decades - Alan Watts & Terence McKenna are two good examples, their wisdom, insight & experiences are available to the world.
There's one interesting thing though - well, about value and sharing good information and what not; and this applies to other spheres as well, not just books & writing; I've noticed that if something is really stand alone - well. . .
Let me go back slightly - talking about books & info; & sharing this valuable stuff and stories. . . I say develop as a writer as much as possible, & do so for your own enjoyment of honing your craft so to speak, & write. . .
About books - to me - substance is always more important than persuasion.. But to have an attractive story, or good story-telling, is also quite important. . which is why I suppose I feel like the process of creating, and growing at the same time, is, among the most important.
Also I have a bit of a view towards sharing positive, sane ideas with the world & culture at our present time. . . This has been an integral part of my life for most all of it - considering that healing & sacred medicines are very important in the scheme of life, and so forth. .
hehe, and I've gone off topic ( of course! ) from your question of where to write, to the whole societal shift, to a sane, earth-loving and benevolent life-style..
Wanted to give you lots of encouragement because it's one of the more important spheres of human evolution, I would say, in the day & time. . .
And - forgive plz for going back to the previous matter, but, this is also one of the things I was considering, in where to write books like this & that sort of thing. . .
Who deserves them, you know
There's a nice quote by Shantideva - which is a good way, I feel - I just remembered it. He says, something like 'by my trust they're made trustworthy,'
or something similar..
but the thing is - healing & sacred substances, not as a magic cure, but as a part of a whole, natural and uplifted life, are very important to humans individually, on a deep level, and collectively, on an equally deep level.
Ah -! remembered.
So I'll just quote the good ol' Athenian,
to say,
'The secret of change is focusing all of one's energy, not on fighting the old, but on creating the new.'
So that contains in a nutshell a good portion of what I was getting at.
Happy Writing
oh as Watts said, 'Advice? I don't have any advice. Write.' (shortened a bit, hehe.)
Oh but also - story-telling is important too, and that is. . . unique to each writer / individual I wud imajin.. there's surely a lot to be gleaned from various cultures in that regard - Celtic, Japan, Africa, Jamaica, others.. all have a lot to offer, although like Jamaica, I don't know much about how they tell stories. . . but story-telling is definitely an art that is in every culture. . so that is a beautiful thing to consider.
Ah, & many overlaps in music of course, the 'Crane Wife' tale made into music by the decemberists came to mind..
Cheers
Write some wonderful.
