First, they don't have your IP. The people actually able to figure out that kind of information, compared to how many people on the internet make that claim, means it's pretty much a given they're full of shit. Even if they did so what. It's Facebook, they already have your name. It's not some anonymous website. That right there tells you it's just empty threats.
There are two different answers depending on exactly what you're asking. CAN something come of this? Yes. WILL it likely happen? No.
In all honesty/practicality, the threat simply isn't specific enough to charge you and have those charges stick. In a totally technical sense, the case can be made that you willingly said it to terrorize and intimidate the other person. It's kind of weak though..
I've kinda been in this situation myself at one point. I said "I'm finding it hard to resist going to get my gun" or something along those lines in relation to someone doing something I felt was bullshit and was only done to fuck me over and maybe even make me homeless. I was blowing off steam and venting. It was very stupid of me to say that, but that's the reason and I did it. Anyways the person I said it to went and told the person it was about and then a police report was filed.
I was never even approached by a cop over the incident. I found out through sources that the cops basically told the other person that it wasn't specific enough to do anything about it from their side and all they could do was file a restraining order.
However, be aware, if the police report does get filed, it can be used against you in the future if you do something like that again. If they start to see a pattern, regardless of how vague you are, they're gonna come to talk to you at the least.
Also thank god I just happened to phrase it how I did. I'm sure there's really no doubt in anyone's mind what I was implying, but implying is not proof. Mine is a hell of a lot more specific than yours though.
