Rivea Corymbosa out of control
    #21435067 -

Came back home today and saw my Rivea.

The bush phase has ended. Vine-throwing phase has finally started about approx. 6 months. (I neglected her hard for the first three months. No enough light and no enough water.) Now she looks happy !
I'm gonna soon put her in the ground hoping for flowers this year !

Show me your Rivea and other convolvulaceae !

Cool stuff!

Now the real fun starts. If I remember correctly the leaves close up each night. They grow quite fast too. :sun:

Nice bush ! According to my experience with mine, yours will soon start the vinethrowing phase.
My HBWR is 8-9 months old, cant remember and she's throwing 3 meters of vines atm
I'll upload pictures of her.

And yeah, leaves are less turgescent (Does this word exist ? ^^) at night like if it needs water and then when the light comes back they return to normal.

Pictures of my 9 months old HBWR :

Main vine :

The base is now woody and approx. 1cm in diameter.

Secondary vine #1 :

This vine is just the end of the main vine. After I pruned it 3 months ago I think, another vine appeared. main vine + this one measure almost three meters.

Secondary vine #2 :

This one is no more than 2 months old. It's winter growth so it's etiolated...

Mine have been pot bound some. They've also been on the ledge of my bedroom window which doesn't get all that much light. So I'm guessing that's would slow there growth.

How big of a pot do you have yours in?

I plan on putting them in my backyard but haven't had time to build/buy a trellis.
