Yeah vegetarianism is the more ethical way to live. But meat is such an ingrained part of life it is hard to give it up (not that that is much of a justification). I hunt and also sometimes obtain live animals from farms in order to slaughter and butcher myself. Doing so puts you in touch with the life force of the animal and makes you have so much more respect for its meat. But what if the animal I hunt or slaughter is someone else's spirit guide animal? I have thought of that before. What if someone feels a strong connection to rabbit or quail or goats? I feel a strong connection to the gray fox. I have seen them in the desert and admire them. One time I was driving and saw a dead gray fox strapped to the grill of a jeep like a big FUCK YOU to animal lovers. It made me angry to see. Yeah vegetarianism is the most ethical way. But people are animals too and we feed on other animals as a natural part of our existence. I guess I don't really know what I'm trying to say here... just letting it flow. :dawerp:
