I'm already a part of both groups actually I had to miss this week's meetup though because we're still unpacking and getting organized. 

Have you been to any of those meetups? Is it just people talking about drug induced experiences? Because that's what I picture when I read the descriptions lol.

no - i just found them recently and missed the last PDX meeting too.

yeah, i've wondered what happens exactly.  i haven't read much about the Vancouver group. i'm hoping that one of them could spawn some kind of underground therapy group that actually does therapy.

The trick is to get a church to give you membership where it is used. This may be NAT, but there are other churches out there, such as peyote way, etc.  Look into it if you are truly interested.:shrug:

Thats got my interest!

Ive always wanted to try peyote, and trying it in a religious/spiritual setting with others sounds really cool.

I checked out that site.  I want to become a member so that I have a card showing my membership, if I ever need too. I think the spirit walk would be cool. I would have to smuggle some MJ in though as they don't allow it on a spirit walk.  Seriously though, I would like to donate just to get a membership. Then, I will trip as I please with mescaline. It truly is the nearest thing to organized religion that I accept. We should plan a trip down there LC? :cactuar:

Sadly, Im not single, Im in a relationship, which makes it difficult. But maybe she would be into it.

Oh the freedom of being single.....i miss it sometimes. But love, oh love. Its a powerful emotion.

Then there's peyote, an experience like nothing else. Just looking at those photos of the desert, I can imagine the peyote experience already....

Too bad its a "solo" journey. I would wanna take the journey with you, not alone. i think that would be more special of a first peyote experience.

yeah, it would be risky - but worth the risk imo. i think a prosecutor would have a hard time convincing a jury that a bunch of cancer patients, addicts, depressed people, etc. should go to prison for trying to alleviate their problems with methods that have shown lots of promising results just because they aren't fully legal yet.

Yah but people aren't as willing or open to believe drugs can be therapeutic they just think it's a way for junkies to get high.

maybe...i think that's changing though.  its slowly becoming mainstream and there's lots of recent research piling up to support impatient people who want to use psychedelics as alternative medicine.

or maybe therapy could slip in under religion, at least with mescaline (i think someone in this thread said mesc is legal in OR if you're in some kind of religious org?)
