Good idea. Also what songs are you looking for on the new CD. If your going to make another CD of 67-78 then I have plenty of tapes that I can suggest songs from.
Also how about a Jerry Band CD. Lots of great music from Jerry Band. Even in the years that the Dead were struggling Jerry Band put on some stellar shows. Mabye a Acoustic one two.(Oregon State prison )

China I love the idea of a Jerry Band CD! just the Oregon State prison tape is such a gem (how about that Rubin and Cherise where Jerry says that he doesn't think he'll remember all the words then nails it!)
I'm real easy so should the second CD be a Jerry Band CD?
Or something from the early days 1965-1970!
I myself love the jerry band idea
I'll let my brother Chinacat decide
I love all you guys so much! It's the next best thing to the love in the air at a dead show.
Chinacat, Should I start a new thread?

Dead from the 60's and maybe ut to 1970.

FINALLY A GOOD DVD RELEASE [Re: DanKnugget]

A new concert DVD featuring The Grateful Dead?s 1978 New Year?s show at Winterland in San Francisco will be released on November 11. In addition to the celebratory nature of any holiday show, the night also marked the closing of the Bay Area venue. There are guest appearances by legendary promoter Bill Graham, who emcees the event, as well as actor Dan Aykroyd, who emerges for the midnight countdown. Fans that order the DVD through Grateful Dead Productions, will also receive a limited edition CD comprised of highlights from other New Year?s shows at Winterland, such as ?Playing in the Band? from 1972 or ?Scarlet Begonias>Fire on the Mountain? from 1977. The 1978 show will also be available as a 4-CD audio release. For complete details, visit www.dead.net.

i'd love to get a copy of this mix of the greatest dead stormers... please let me know if i can send some blank cdr's or money to get copys of this mix!
unfortunately i never got to see the dead live, and didnt really get into them until 94/95 (im 24 years old). i was supposed to go to the last show at RFK right before he passed but it fell through. im been regretting it ever since.. if only i had gone to that show and gotten a chance to see jerry perform i personally love all of the deads music, but like the early stuff (69-71) a little more. i'd love to hear something live that they put on "anthem of the sun" on this cd... like new potato caboose, or alligator. my favorite song by them is definitely the eleven.
