I haven't heard that version of Dark Star. I'll have to get it.
My favorite Dark Stars: Live/Dead 11/8/69 Fillmore (they go into Dark Star 3 times: Dark Star->The Other One->Dark Star->UJB Jam->Dark Star->St. Stephen->The Eleven ; how incredible is that!) BTW 11/8/69 is DP #16
I'll have to think about other songs - so many songs and so many versions!

The Morning Dew on The Grateful Dead movie is among the most beautiful ever.... With real moving pictures to it goes from total psycadelic chaos to that one distinct opening chord. Amazing

I also really like the Playing in the Band from the Grateful Dead Movie (winterland 1974). It's very spacey, and Jerry started doing his vibrato like on a violin. It's incredible. the Morning Dew and Stella Blue from that movie are also great.

Bird Song, to lay me down, playing in the band, cold rain and snow, Its all over now baby blue, uncle johns band, Jack a roe, Box of rain, when I paint my master piece, Mighty quin, Saint stephen, Black peter, China cat sunflower, El paso, Mexacalli blues, and The stranger. I will get some dates later. My list could keep going but I dont think any one wants to see the rest. I will also try and narrow it down a bit as well.

I'd like to see a good Shakedown on there, but I can't find a specific one that tickles my pickle in my shitty collection of 20ish shows
