I wouldn't think Amsterdam would be likely to have the best coke. It's pretty far from the source.

I didn't see this thread yet but I just added the story to the news service with a link to an article. 14 cases so far appearently. All over the news in the Netherlands as well.

I accidentally bought cocaine from a guy on the street in Amsterdam and it was pretty good, but I did it all at once to get rid of it...

My guess would be a language barrier issue. Maybe was trying to buy something else

There are no language barriers in Amsterdam.

I was trying to find a certain bar on the edge of the red light. I was supposed to meet my brother and an internet person I had never met before. Me and my bro had scoped it out earlier in the day, but after a long day in and out of the coffee shops, I was a little dazed. I asked directions from a police officer and he wasn't extremely helpful. I asked directions from a crack head and he offered to just take me right to it. When we got there he said he had some powder for sale. I declined but he persisted. He then proceeded to put a big chunk right in my hand and told me to try it. I started freaking out because we were in plain sight in the middle of the doorway. I now had the dope in my hand, no baggie or anything, just a handful of cocaine. I didn't want to make a big deal, so I gave him some money. I think I gave him 20 euros or something just to make him go away.

Then I ducked around a corner and snorted it all.

I've spent at least ten days in Amsterdam over the years and not once did I meet  someone who didn't speak English.

I met one person, but she was an older woman and perhaps just didn't want to talk to me.
