I've never posted anything, anywhere before, I've always "lurked" for answers as they call it, a term I learned while doing just that on forums like these. I never needed DIRECT help before, which is why I made an account
But was never aware of any such "rules" on a website of this nature.. Fine, duly noted

It's all good. We're all stuck in the past somewhere. Case in point: Trichocereus pachanoi should really be called Echinopsis pachanoi. I'm aware of the name change but still refer to them as Trichocereus, and will continue to do so.

The WD should be building to some interesting watching, if they continue to follow the comic, as they seem to be doing again now. Hopefully Glenn dies soon. Spoiler alert!

Cool. Now you're aware that there's rules. Each forum generally has their own that are posted at the top of each forum. Make sure to read them before posting. It can save you a lot of trouble.

Well ain't that some shit! I did the same thing today at work, which you just did to me!I blurted out some spoilers to my buddy, who's missed the past two episodes, and he got pissed at me!
That being said I'm not pissed,However I didn't know Glen dies soon:tongue2:
I was going to wait until it was all over, then compare the show to the comics, instead of vice versa, but now I have the The Walking Dead Complete Comics and Novels torrent downloading, and now it's time to quit messs'n  around, and get down to it!It's actually been quite some time that I've read a comic book, was a big fan of them in the 80's and 90's,and they consumed most of my time,Wait what the heck, this is a thread about Cacti, not Comics, carry on..........

Stuff happens in the comic that probably wont in the TV show. The watchers of the show couldn't handle it.

And yeah, let's get back to ninja'ing cactus in the moonlight.

Damn, when I read this thread I was at work and on my phone, and didn't really catch the drift that they were poached.  I was thinking it was more of a case of someone wanting confirmation that what they bought was actually San Pedro.  Maybe we should have a ban on people asking "Is this San Pedro?" because it seems like the majority of them are poachers that suck at identifying a pretty easily identified cactus.

Yep,I've noticed a lot of posts asking is this a San Pedro, and you know if it was actually theirs, they would have known it to be one,and wouldn't be asking:wink:

This is why poaching really hurts, and these idiots should be shot!

That is also why no cacti should be illegal.  It raises their price on the black market and hinders private collectors/gardeners from being able to acquire seeds to.aide the plants survival.

And then when they say things like "its just a cactus" or "wow, you guys really take this shit seriously!" Its pretty offensive. Yeah obviously we take it seriously, if we didn't then the plants wouldn't grow! There is just a lack of cognitive ability there I guess. Go into the advanced mycology forum and see if they take their hobby serious too, I don't get why you would expect any different.

I feel a similar way about Acacia id's but I don't think banning them would help. We probably get a 50/50 mix of people asking about specimens in gardens and the others are about plants in nurseries or confirmations about plants bought online. I think letting people put up id requests is a positive that provides a service to the community. If it's a serious case of theft then the user will be dealt with severely. The case in this thread wasn't so bad, but still not something I like to see or condone. Id rather educate in a case like this rather than ban.

It probably wont happen. Lots happens in the comic that hasn't, and probably wont, in the TV series.
