yeah, i've always seen Jim as the deep type.  his style of humor comes from a place that isn't exactly... linear

And of course I'm going to drag you into my world view on this and that is one of a man who sees this world through the eyes of his depression.  He is informed by his depression.  However this man also feels great and expansive joy at times. Often more than once per day does he see or feel something that is beautiful to his senses and feelings.  He is also informed by this.  It's not a black and white issue.

But when this man views his own suffering and the suffering of his friends and acquaintances and then the world via the media or books etc. He comes to a conclusion that however much he might love his species (in fact because of it) and the world of culture he sees that there is terrible suffering going on even as he responds to this post continuing at all costs is not worth it.  This is not something I'm guessing about. And a world where this type of suffering happens, even if it were to a relative handful (which it is not) is unacceptable and not worth the joy of the rest.  He concludes that the extinction of his species is the greater good.

Depression is not the wrong way to see.  It is a way and within it is often much beauty and great love for what can never be.  The depressive often flies very high above the ground and their feelings may be of such intensity that in his/her moments of joy they far exceed the norm.

That's my story and for now, I'm stickin to it.

This is EXACTLY the way I see the world right now, and it's so valuable to me right now to see this truth expressed by another. Thank you man, thank you.

Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

yeah i've seen this clip before and it wasn't presented as a DMT experience, but instead a sober realization he had  i know he's a close follower of Eckhart Tolle and that school of thought

Oh, thats a really good point
The description of the vid also seem to have some weird things.

And I just found out the channel actually links shroomery.org as its website.

wtf, lies.

Thanks for mentioning that.

EDIT: edited the OP and thread name.

I'm sure Jim carrey has done a lot of psychedelics. Whenever I'm tripping really hard and getting nutty, Jim Careys antics often come to mind.
