I'm not sure if this is because of my shroom use or Lyme disease

Hey guys. Before anyone says to, I will go to a doctor again (have already, just haven't told them of my drug use) if this gets much worse because it's getting pretty bad.

Anyways, I have Lyme disease, and maybe 3-4 months ago I tripped on shrooms 4 times, 3.5 grams each, in a short period of time. I also did a few other drugs here and there: alcohol occasionally, benzos once or twice, a little weed.

Anyways I've noticed my mental health is not very good now.

I am trying to remember yesterday, and I can barly remember it. It's trying to remember a faded dream. My memory has Gotton really bad and sometimes I forget what it feels like to feel things, feel emotions. Now I'm not sure if this has to do with the shrooms use? I did a lot in a short time. Or because of my Lyme disease or both?

I'm not looking for any magical anwsers I'm just looking for your input and opinions.

It's just getting really bad for me in college because I can't concentrate in class, I have a hard time remembering, and I'm not mentally motivated anymore. I used to be big into weightlifting

Are you on medications to get rid of your Lyme disease?  Is it possible to get rid of it or is it too late?

My joints hurt from time to time but that could just be from the gym

My strength has decreased almost in half

Hmm... do you have a lot of nerve pain too?

I think it's possible that so many trips in such a short amount of time really drew from your vitality, and the Lyme's disease is flaring up worse as a result.

How's your diet?

Most people don't know this but mushrooms make you trip because they eat holes in your brain. That's why you are having these problems, you have holes in your brain.

No nerve pain.

My diet is worse than usual but i have been actively making it better. Its suprisingly harder than i expected to eat healthy in college

It doesn't sound like it's so much a physical problem, so it'd probably help to just get some rest and replenish. You've been playing advanced brain chemistry and it sounds like your brain is more taxed right now. Breathing, naps, good food, don't multitask so much. :grin:
I've heard that lots of lemonade can work well with Lyme's disease, I should be drinking some myself since I have similar symptoms (no confirmed diagnosis). :wink:

I would go to the doctor to check your status.
I doubt this has anything to do with your trip though, and telling your doctor you used shrooms won't accomplish anything positive in this scenario.

Not true.
I was diagnosed with Lyme disease earlier this summer and the doctor put me on Doxycycline for two weeks and he said since I caught the Lyme early enough that the Doxycycline should kill the Lyme.

I haven't had any symptoms of Lyme since I started taking the medicine.

If you don't go to the doctor earlier enough then, however, the Lyme is uncurable.

Just a reminder, people, to always go to the doctor if you think something is wrong with you.  Better safe than sorry.

I'm sorry Lyme disease is really nasty.

I also doubt your memory problems are caused by your drug use. How is your sleep? Consistently poor quality sleep can mess with your memory

I think the shrooms is what worsened it. I was fine before i took them.


My sleeping is pretty good, i get 8-10 hours a day, but its very random times. I should get on a sleeping schedule.


As for the lyme, i think i caught it early, and i took the same anti biotics you took, but i think because I also got brain menigitis and bells posly at the same time, it may have damaged my mental stability and the shrooms could of just made it a lot worse

Yeah. I had myocarditis due to Lyme. I could barely breathe a month ago and now I'm perfectly fine after a month of doxycycline.

I don't know anything about mixing shrooms and Lyme and/or brain meningitis, so I can't help you out there. 

A 3.5 gram shroom trip is a strong dose, and doing four of them in a short time span can definitely mess a person up.  You should just take a long break from tripping and you'll be fine soon.  If you do trip again then try a lower dose, and don't trip again until you wait a long time after that trip.

Bell's Palsy is a symptom of Lyme disease.

Ohh wow, I hadn't heard of myocarditis being a symptom of Lyme before... that is horrible. 
Thank God you got on Doxycycline fast enough!

My only symptom of Lyme was a really ugly, unsymmetrical, and itchy rash that didn't get non-itchy when I applied copious amounts of Calamine lotion to it.  It appeared where I was bit on my back.

I found this the other day . The cdc says people should consider Lyme if people drop dead from heart failure.
