My friend got lyme disease last year. His girlfriend painted a picture of his bulls eye, and made him look like a sexy girl:

His bullseye is on the right. It was huge, just like in that painting.

but have yet to contract anything or have any symptoms, same with my kids

That's because where you live has a pretty damn low density of ticks carrying Lyme disease . I don't even bother putting on bug spray when I go in the woods in GA. I wear it all the time when I go out hiking in NJ though.
