Does it matter? To whom? Nothing matters objectively. Things have to matter TO SOMEONE in order to matter at all. So, yes it matters to me, and to most of the people on this rock.

Doesn't everyone see that?
It matters to those who seak the experiaence of life. Not so much to those who seak to understand the experiance.

for some reason alot of my oev's look like sewing or embrioery of some kind, aside from your avitar's pattern, extreamly complex lace-type patterns, or Indian looking emriodery are fairly common....

I actualy belive nothing matters at all, i tryed to express this on a little thread on here called "wake the fuck up" but got horribly flamed so now im pretending like i care about the future and stuff But yeah we are really nothing but microscopic organisms that dwel within the fongus that grew on a rock that just happened to be the right distance from a heat and light source. There was a huge explosion that we will probably never explain in the lifetime of our species and here we are. Im sure species like ours have come and gone for many many many times. So finish before getting as smart as us some get to be super intelectual and harbor them selves on diffrent planets onces theirs is destroyed. I bet you even the stuff that the "gods" tought us was all just speculation and belief. Boy is your face going to be red when you die and end up in nothingness again, where you were before you were born. The human ego tells us diffrent though, it tells us we are more special than animals, it tells us we have more than this Physical body, it tells us our planet is the center of it all. Its just ego buddy. But thats just IMHO.

Since I gotta live through the crap happening on this stupid rock, yeah it matters. It matters to me. Fuck don't go around trivializing anyone's entire life. I think most of realize the insignaifigance of loving another human being as far as eternity and space go, but it's important here and now. Everything that goes on here might ultimately be inconsequential, but I'm selfish and don't give a fuck about THE ULTIMATE MEANING, and I'm going to place the utmost importance on the things I value.

Oh i agree, everything might be ultimatley inconsequential and have no final meaning. But we still have to promote peace and prosperaty for the sake of our lives. Our lives might not have any meaning but we can still enjoy them, and we must do what we can to make sure we will, and our children will. Part of enjoying a meaningless life is to put value on things we love about it.

There's a certain way of thinking about kissing, and having sex, that to me makes it seem completely nonsensical. Rubbing lips together, licking tongues, etc. It can even seem absurdly comical, the whole thing. (Ever seen that South Park with the alien dudes? )
But then if I step away from that mode of looking at it all, I find that in another light it's all really damn nice. Reallly nice. I guess we can look at our existence in similar ways.

Then why don't you kill yourself?

Then why don't you kill yourself? that's not part of the dance. i'm not living here for a reason. i just am, and it doesn't matter in the end whether i was here or not, what i did, or any of that. doing things for reasons is a little trite. we all act without purpose, whether we think we do or not. but killing myself... nah. The last time i tripped on some really good acid i came to the realization that "nothing matters" and kept repeating it and explaining to my friends why i felt this way in halfway incoherent sentences. Luckily, they got a good dose of the acid as well and felt the same, so we were all on the same page ;P is this off topic ? oh well fuck it ;p
