A World View of our Sacred Garden...
    #1977466 -

If we could shrink the Earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people,
with all existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look like this:

There would be 57 Asians, 21 Europeans, 14 from the Western Hemisphere
(North and South) and 8 Africans.
51 would be female; 49 would be male.
70 would be non-white; 30 white.
70 would be non-Christian; 30 Christian.
50% of the entire world's wealth would be in the hands of only 6 people.
All 6 would be citizens of the United States.
80 would live in substandard housing.
70 would be unable to read.
50 would suffer from malnutrition.
1 would be near death , 1 would be near birth
Only 1 would have a college education.
No one would own a computer.

When one considers our world from such an incredibly compressed perspective, the need for both tolerance and understanding becomes glaringly apparent........

I've heard that one before, it really gets you eh? Most people don't pay much attention to statistics, but when you strip it down like that it's revolting. 6 people controlling all the wealth? All Americans? Holy. 80 in substandard living conditions? Wow! I think it's time for some serious change. Time to decentralize power, build consensus communities and reaquaint ourselves with wild nature!

Even the 6 richest wouldn't own computers?

Yeah, I have heard stories of trained monkeys behind computers.. typing, forever, incesantly, continous typing... these monkeys are responsible for statistics, Presidental speeches, and Adam Sandler movie scripts... forever typing, trained monkeys.. typing, typing, typing....

I mean, you're all like "Hhm, I bet that at this time those monkeys must be like done typing or something", and you walk into the room and there they are, typing away. It doesn't matter what day it is, what hour or minute, they are forever typing, straight into Eternity and back out...
Peace.

Statistics don't lie, but statistical results can easily be misrepresented.

The 'gateway drug' fallacy is a great example. If you ask 100 heroin abusers if they smoked cannabis before doing heroin for the first time, 90 of them reply yes. (Made up numbers, don't quote!) Hmmm... so cannabis _MUST_ be a gateway drug leading people to use harder drugs such as heroin.

BUT, if you ask the same 100 heroin users if they smoke cigerettes before doing heroin for the first time, 99 of them reply yes. So cigerettes must be a gateway drug as well.

If you ask the same 100 heroin users if they drank pepsi before doing heroin for the firs time, 100 of them reply yes. So pepsi must also be a gateway drug.

The statistics aren't lying, but I am misrepresenting what they tell us to lead people to believe in soemthing which isn't true.

I'm glad someone has finally brought to light the horrible conditions that is the life of a typing monkey :frown: The conditions are deplorable at best, a constant barrage of flung feces making a simple task such as typing almost an impossibility  Yet, the screaming never stops "TYPE, DAMN YOU!!!! TYPE!!!" Day in and day out the torture never stops, there is no rest, there will be no compensation for your work, no reward, no recognition......just the painful existence of being a typing monkey :shake:.....can't someone please help?!?!?!? please???????.......no??? :mad2: FINE! I'm starting a new Sandler script right now, I'll show ya'
