For anyone familiar with Alex Grey's artwork or the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors project, there is some interesting stuff going on. Here is an excerpt from his website:

Dear friends of the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors,
As part of the effort to create the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, we are holding
a prayer session at the home of Alex & Allyson Grey on May 15th, 2003. This
will be the next in a series of monthly prayers that will be tied to the
full moon. You are invited to come in person and participate in this joyous
celebration. We will be meeting at 7pm EST and the session will last
approximately one hour.
If, however, you are unable to attend in person, we would very much
appreciate if you could join us in spirit by tuning in for a moment of
meditation at approximately 7:30pm EST on that evening. By joining our
prayers this way we will create a vast field of prayer and influence which
will help to bring our collective dream into reality.
When: May 15th, 2003
Time: 7pm EST

Woah... Alex Grey is my favorite artist.. that would be amazing to meet him and his wife... at his house nonetheless.. for a prayer session. Woah.

This thread is a good excuse to post Alex Grey art.. for those unfamiliar with it..and for pure enjoyment.
Yes...I am an addict. He is a master of the brush and of spirit knowledge.

He is hands down my favorite visionary artist. He inspires my significant other and I continue with our own art, myself on the guitar and her with canvas and paint. Hope anyone who goes has a great time as I will be with everyone in thought and spirit...

Whats really amazing is that most of that art work is literally 8 feet tall. I have "Transfigurations" and some of the art work in that book is labled as 1992-1997. Aka, the YEARS he worked on it.

i wont be able to get to new york, but i'll definitley take the time to join him in prayer. Alex Grey is unspeakably great. I have no words that can do justice. Mabey I should dose for the full moon, try to time it so i peak at about 7 or 8 pm eastern time.

I'm sitting at my computer in our "Blue Room," (which isn't actually blue, but white with light blue carpeting and drapery) which is decorated with a mandalic rug, Tibetan Buddhist wall hangings, stained glass lamps, and a signed and framed 'Theologue' (the second painting), which is actually in shades of astral-auric blue. One 'special' evening, my Lady and one of our friends experienced the meditating figure-in-aura, emerge from the painting in the blue-votive-lit Blue Room!
At my feet, still in the mailing tube is another signed copy entitled 'Praying,' the cover art from the 'Sacred Mirrors' book. Alex's work is affordable, and for the additional 15 bucks, he signs it, which I believe will become significant to the future generation of Shroomerites who end up with these works.

I have a print of Alex's "kissing", which my woman bought for me and made an awesome custom frame for. Unfortunately, it was supposed to be signed by Alex but they sent it and forgot to sign it. I hope to one day have many prints that I can display in one room, each with their own custom frame.
