Hey, i agree that someone definatly needs whip up a detailed casing method(s)....... But untill then, i gues we just have to deal with all of the casing questions.... I myself put together a paper with every Casing question and answer, so that i don't have to search or ask anyone for my answers.... But anyway a detailed casing faq. would really help a lot of people...... -HFG

I think guide on casing is definately needed. I am a first time grower and ended up buying a kit that cases. The manual that came with the kit was terrible so I pretty much had to go out and find ppl that have cased before and ask them questions. Someone should be able to put one together!

You guys're right. If my casing experiments work, I'd be happy to throw together a DIY FAQ on the subject. wal

A casing guide is a good idea. I'd be happy to help out with any HTML / Layout / GFX. I do web stuff all day long, so it's no prob!

I'm growing for my first time and almost ready to put my cakes in the chamber. After I get a few flushes I will case them and hopefully I will have some info then to share on the subject

Well I did not go the cake casing route, but rather started from a spore print and some malt agar filled petri dishes. Everything has gone great so far, I only had one of four petri dishes get contaminated. I had some pretty rapid growing mycelium in my first dish and thus I chose a slice of that to transfer over to my birdseed. The birdseed was covered in less than a week and I was ready to xfer it over to the compost. I cased the compost about 3 days ago and already the mycelium is popping through the casing. I will also throw in the results of my crop once it gets growing.
