Now that we're strictly enforcing the rule about 'The Psychedelic Experience'...

In regard to only allowing topics on the classic psychedelic drugs to be posted there... There are threads about the classic psychedelic drugs that are currently in 'Other Drugs Discussion'. Shouldn't they be moved to 'The Psychedelic Experience'? Having these threads located in 'Other Drugs' is compromising to the website, especially for new members, who would never think to look for such threads in that forum in light of the new rule.

The most active thread is this one: Recent LSD Prints?


A simple search in 'Other Drugs' for relevant keywords such as lsd, mescaline, and chinacat72 will show many other threads that could be considered for relocation.

Another popular example: LSD-Crystal to Blotter

I also think The "Thumbprint", which is currently located in The Pub, should be moved to 'The Psychedelic Experience', because it's obviously a more fitting forum.

I don't know, I feel like threads with lots of pictures of people's LSD stashes and threads discussing things like LSD synthesis/etc. should remain in ODD where they can't be accessed as easily, due to the content that is inside them. Just my 2 cents.

I don't see any reason why the Thumbprint Thread couldn't be moved to TPE though.

Perhaps in the past the forums didn't have the drop-down menus (where in the 'Psychedelic' forum there are items like LSD and mushrooms; and in 'Other Drugs' there are things like opiates and amphetmaines. But now both forum have very specific uses and are distinct from one another.

I'm looking at the threads themself. I don't see the 'Other Drugs' forum to possesses significance for these threads in question, alas it disorganizes the site in this day and age.

Ballerium brought up a good point, but I encourage the administrators to meet the stipulations she expressed by not simply stuffing these LSD threads in 'Other Drugs Discussion.'

If anything existed, it was a forum called Trip Tips, which would explain why those older threads landed elsewhere.

Leaving threads about LSD in 'Other Drugs' when threads that are about other drugs are posted in 'TPE' are rapidly locked and moved will do nothing but cause future generations to miss out on them. Also consider the fact that the forum setup was different back when chinacat72 was posting. Did they even have the drop-down menus?

Once again, Ballerium's point above is something to take into consideration, but keeping these threads in 'Other Drugs' is not the answer.

Indeed, I'm concerned about other members; those of whom would find the 'Recent LSD Prints' thread useful and are missing out on it because they have no reason to go into ODD and are indeed discouraged to do so as a result of the harsh divide between the two forums. A lot of people don't even know ODD exists because they probably only look at the whole forum list when they are unregistered or after they first register, and ODD will not be visible in either of those instances. It silently apears after you've made a certain number of posts or something.

It does exactly that. It's to protect "our members" from people who are here for undesirable reasons.

TPE and ODD are different forums for different reasons, and you should leave them that way.

I would say TPE is more directed at emotional things, whee ODD is directed at physical things.

Edit: I would also argue that you aren't trying to help anyone, you just think you're "correct" and pushing it.
