The Experimentation Station is for this kind of thing. Extractions, mixtures, substrate additives, and other experiments are on topic for that forum. However, I'd kinda like to see less "what if..." type postings and more "this is what I did..." in there.

I hear that. I can tell you that almost every time I have attempted a "what if" it was just a waste of time. I still have yet to hear from anybody that has actually been successful in making a mushroom extract, I've been trying ALL the teks for a few months now, and not one has been reproducible. Every response that I got to my topic about extraction was about "it says to do this" or "Gartz did this" not ONE was about "this is what I did and it worked". It makes me want to forget even trying it. I'm trying to make an extract without using heat, but maybe I'll have to give in and get a soxhlet apparatus. It would be nice to make an extract without losing any potency in the process.
