The Need For a Chemistry Forum.

In the world of mind altering substances every ethogen is in reality a chemical. As we are all aware, when we take a natural growing ethogen, it is not the plant that brings on an altered state of mind, but the chemical within the plant.
Clearly a greater understanding of the processes and methods of preparing and extracting these chemicals, even on a basic level, would be beneficial to those that use them.
In order to further the understanding of what we put into our bodies, I believe that a Chemistry Forum would be greatly beneficial to this community, and that one should be added.

To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

This has been addressed before (about a year ago I had the same idea), but I was told there are other forums online for this discussion. We don't want to bring the wrong kind of attention to ourselves and many of the questions could fit in other forums, i.e. science and technology.

Yea, this is definitely an idea that has been considered. However, we acknowledge that there are many other resources out there that are much more comprehensive and knowledgeable in this subject. www.the-hive.ws comes to mind, as well as many articles linked on www.erowid.org & www.lycaeum.org
While I see where you're comin' from.. I believe that our community would not be able to keep such a forum on topic and/or that said forum would receive such minimal traffic that there wouldn't be much point to having it here when there are such great off-site resources already in existence.

any chem questions in odd me, neuro, seuss, kid orgo, wr and a few others try to address and extractions of plants go in enthogarden, you made a post in there a while back about a/b extractions and i tried to help you out, no? there's no need for it like has been said, plus the "chemistry forum" i bet would turn into a meth lab so to speak and pappy yelled at me for helping a guy with that stuff

I just saw the new icon, and I love it!!! -->
So, I thought I'd come on down to the "lab" to see what y'all were cooking up!

Actually, I do like the implied ambiguity of the double-negative in your "quote" of my words, and it gives it a kind of white-trash panache!
However, for the record: I am strongly against this idea for the very reasons that I'm already on record for...
