It doesn't matter how I came about having the thought, what influenced me, just the fact that I have the choice to think whatever the hell I want to. I can just as easily think that "Bush is cool", or that "Bush is an alien", or "I am hungry".

I understand what you are saying, though. Any knowledge I have at all from Bush has come from other sources, mostly the media. Whoever controls the media has a powerful tool in their hands.

But having a big influence on someone's thoughts is not the same as controlling their thoughts. I have complete freedom of what goes on in my mind.
