I think a poll would be best, let's get everyone involved :smile:
We could run it as a sticky for a month at the end when all entries are submitted.

I agree a poll will probably be best and getting rid of the Trichocereus comp is also a good idea. I'll only be doing lophs so others better chime in if they want their say.

What time limit do you want to set for the Best categories?
6 months seems too short. 9 months?

9 months sounds good, gives everyone the chance to do their best.
I just ordered Turbinicarpus rioverdensis and Astrophytum caput-medusae seeds, so I guess that means I couldn't resist entering...
One question, does it break the rules in any way if I for example sow the seed of a plant that will be used as a rootstock (Selenicereus), and graft it onto another rootstock (Pereskiopsis) now, but don't sow the seed of the main entry plant (Turbinicarpus for example) until the set date, even tough the entire creation may later be used in one of the other categories??

Let's not make this too complex, but the focal scion should be from seed that is sown on the contest start date. Anything that is "stock" even if from seed doesn't have an age/time limit.

I'll make the actual contest thread in the next day or two.

9 months it is for the best categories.
