You're right.  We need to use eugenics to erase totalitarian zealots like you that support eugenics from the gene pool.

i'll try again I guess... What's wrong about trying to improve the human race? What is your view against it? Religous? Ethical? Hitler  ?

i'm really not looking for blonde blue eyed guys.

US had eugenic programs that predated Nazi Germany and even inspired them. Maybe you should despise your own government before *once again* blaming the Nazi's as usual and discarding a whole idea.

http://books.google.be/books?id=FAB-6RzKAQIC&pg=PA1&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false

Eugenics has had so many meanings through all the years, i'm not supporting it from the idea that there's superiority based on racial essentialism (which you do and works like a veto on any following argument). I see it as trying to acquire positive traits into the gene pool. That doesn't mean I just want to see intelligence, agility, dexterity, muscle strength or even mortality improved because I feel it's all glorified, especially intelligence; IQ is not what you are nor does a high IQ make for a 'better world' or higher 'moral awareness': certain character, mentality or even empathy and much more make up a person. & We need all of this to make the world turn however trying to make an effort to rid the world of inheritable diseases and try to negate influences that have an impact on said inheritable factors... I can perfectly imagine people want to have healthy children.

If i'm still not clear enough...

Negative eugenics: Forced anticonception, sterilization of certain population groups due to social ideas.

Positive eugenics: I feel if we want to implent a positive eugenics policy a certain reward is coupled with procreation. eg: Topsporters or parents with a high IQ are rewarded through bonuses and so these people are stimulated to put out more children and thus are positively influencing the gene pool. Everyone can still procreate as much as they want if you still feel this is discrimination then so be it but if you have nothing to contribute don't expect a reward  . I think another good example is the spermbank that got developed in 1980 by Robert Graham for Nobel Prize winners and other scientists.

i'm aware that the positive eugenics still pose some problems as in: Which inheritable factors improve the human race? & Whom has the authority to say what is 'good' or 'bad' ?

condoms and birth control are widely available for free or at very little

it's up to the people fucking to go get them and actually use them

You know, I've been thinking about this lately, and I think there should be some kind of tax incentive or something to get men to be on birth control. With some new alternatives to using a condom, mainly Vasalgel, it will be possible for men to get a single injection and then be infertile for over 10 years.

Imagine never having to worry about a condom again (for birth control purposes...you'll still need one if you need to prevent an STD)!

If they started a program where boys, upon reaching puberty, were given the injection and the family received a tax break or something I think it would REALLY cut down on unwanted pregnancies!!! Especially teen pregnancies, which are almost universally unwanted. Have the tax break happen yearly for as long as you're on the Vasalgel.

And watch our population drop through the floor :smirk:

Once, men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free.
But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

I don't think the family has a right to choose to have a piece of silicon or whatever injected into there son's vas deferens. But maybe people could get a tax break if they opted for the operation at 18.

This sounds very similar to a futuristic eugenics program described in the book Ringworld by Larry Niven.  Not a great book, but his ideas are pretty interesting.  In the book, a race of advanced humans develops an incentive-based program in conjunction with a lottery-type thing (to encourage the breeding of lucky people, lol).  The whole thing is run by a panel of extremely wise individuals known as the Fertility Board.  Neat concept, but I don't think we'll ever see anything like it in real life.

(In case you're curious, the book is not about this.  It's actually a very small part of a much larger space-travel/adventure/sci-fi story.)

I think we should take over Europe, round up all the Jews and exterminate them.
