Agreed, although I enjoyed the book I wouldn't re-read. Not a bad view from an Outsider but it lacks in a big way that Dennis Mcnallys book doesn't. She trys to pull together a whole era into her little version and I just don't think it works.

I can make a point from hands on experience that psychedelics wont fuck you up even if taken in large quantity. I began injesting the stuff (lsd/mushrooms) when i was 12 years old, lets say 6 times a year.. maybe more in my teenage years you know? Im now 22 and one of the best in the mathematics department at my university. And (dont believe what i write its not true, dont do this !) i'm sure part of my good mathematics grades are due to my dissosiated mind haha. The only side effects that i experience is well, i'm always in a altered states of consiousness, and the moment i breath deeper/concentrate it can become realllly cool if you know what i mean ! :smile:

I see the white light 24/7 and visuals? Well, our thoughts are visuals no? when i get a complex actuarial problem i just close my eyes and do it ''in my head'' it amaze people haha it's not practical to do it this way because with a pen/paper it's wuickly done but.. still it's cool.

So you know, it wont affect you intellectually, or give you permanent headaches.. But if you what a VERY spiritual/psychedelic life.. this is what you're gonna get! And sometimes the 'truth' can be a hard thing to bear!
