Do you have kids and grow?

I've got and 8 year old and i've been growing
for a few years.
I keep my grows out of sight but she
knows i'm into mushrooms. I have a
large collection of ornaments and
drawings of shrooms.
Today she gave me a drawing of mushrooms,
kinda freaked me a little.
Just wondering if anyone else has the same
situation.

Get a glowing culture and blow her mind.
I think it's great that she's into what you do....i mean, hell, get a microscope n some edible cultures n start sharing with her. It can be a family thing! I'm sure she'd love to spend the time with you.

but u sould u be glad u have a daughter who is nice enough to draw things u like for u
she dosent no about the reson u grow them
all she knoes is that u like mushrooms so she drew u a nice picture

my 4 year old daughter went thru a phase of drawing me pictures of "poisonous mushrooms".
you cant keep kids out of anything,they know what we do even if they dont know why.

Someday she will find out what those mushrooms really are (and do), but I doubt it will freak her out that her dad is into tripping. She'll probably approach drugs in a respecful and open minded manner since her loving father is a responsible man and has been growing these things for a long time.

Take the chance to bond with her over it as others have suggested. Grow edibles and fun stuff for her entertainment and maybe later in life she will discover other fungi to grow and ask for your help.

i am 18 years old, when i was 16 i got all of my grow supplies and approached my dad with a deal, he can help me grow and eat shrooms under his supervision, or i will grow them at a freinds house and he will have no control over when or how many i eat, now my father and i spend extensive amounts of time building things for growing and spending time tripping with eachother.

My 6 yr old is really into shrooms too. He found more species of shroom while hiking in Acadia Park, Maine than I did. He's really quite the nature buff. I don't explain about magic shrooms but he's very interested in how they grow. I think its healthy to have a respect for such things.
On the flip side, my dad helps me with my shrooms while I'm away on business trips. He's actually come up with some good suggestions. He doesn't trip but he's a talented gardener whose interested in the challenge of growing fungi. Yes, he knows what kind of shrooms they are.

In mexico infants are given a tiny mushroom and are held by they're moms so they can softly drift off into a trip as a ritual.

There is no need to freak out, as long as you keep the stuff far away from her she will be fine.

You know what it does, and you know its not evil. Its just not the time to share it with her yet. One day she will grow up, and know what her daddy does. And who knows what will happen then. (In a good positive point of view ofcourse).

yeah like somebody who posted earlier said she will have a more open mind about drugs. im not saying that she should do drugs but she wont be an ignorant person saying stupid and untrue things about drugs (those people are so annoying). of course you shouldn't expose her to magic mushrooms,she should learn/find out about these things on her own, and since she knows what you do, she may come up to you with questions and you will be able to help her make decisions, and make sure she doesn't make any bad decisions about drugs and other things etc. if she is more open to you about things like this, chances are she'll be more willing to talk to you about other issues.


thats just my two cents, and i dont have kids so that tells you how much of this is from experience.
