I either get the music playing or the police radio by itself...

could have to do with my right speaker being broken

ambient music is superb. brian eno is a fucking boss. and this website, is actually really good. wish i could play that shit through my television's sound system right now.

The scroll on the embedded player says that it is FDNY, not NYPD, but maybe it is a shared channel and very cool in any case. I'm listening to Boston now :cool:

i love eno too. have you ever heard of a band called stars of the lid???

to me, they're the KINGS of ambient fucking music. you should check em' out, so so relaxing!!! like being on auditory opiates or something, no joke.

Nope i haven't really kept up in the ambient scene as of late, will have to check 'em out. another great is steve roach. I love when i'm leaving my pals house, blazed and opiated to all hell, and echoe's comes on npr (their ambient hour of music).

Holy shit, i've been feeling really weird since I listened to this.

Turned it on about 3 hour ago, and listened to it in the background for a while. I've never listened to ambient music before, so I just listened to it how I thought you were supposed to listen to. I even had it on the background while I watched some TV. After about an hour, it came to this part where it got louder and louder, and then started fading into static. At this point in the music, I became overcome by a wave of euphoria and started laughing hysterically. The music eventually got back into its routine, and I listened to it for about another 30 minutes. When I turned it off, I found myself feeling really odd. The silence was memorizing and I've been feeling very off the rest of the night. Waves of deep deja vu, nostalgia, and disassociation.

I haven't felt this affected by music in years, especially while not on psychedelics.

Wow.

Ambient and space music can be just as effecting as loud uptempo. you just have to be willing to listen.
