You would make more than that in a year at a minimum wage job. You're looking at federal trafficking charges if you get caught. $8000 is barely gonna pay for your lawyer if you plan to have any chance of getting out of anything.

That'd be a bad idea. Fly solo. Look like a business person. Cut your hair if it's long. Wear a polo shirt and khaki pants. Clean the cab of your car. Don't have bumper stickers.
I'd also suggest not loading the body of the car with pot like a Mexican, but put it in the trunk in a duffel bag with a padlock on it. They need a separate warrant for each lock, at least in my state. This likely won't be hard to get, but you might get lucky and the cops might not want to bother. It's one more layer of paranoia... errr... protection.
Definitely vacuum seal it. Use a good sealer that lets you cut the vacuum when you want so you don't brick it, just squish it a bit. Then wipe it with alcohol. Then put on gloves, wipe them with alcohol and carry the pack to another room. Seal it up again with alcohol-soaked paper towels on each side of the original package. Use a full seal this time, the air in the first pack will protect the pot. Change gloves then seal it again with more alcohol-soaked towels. Don't bother masking the scent, dogs are trained for that too. Just prevent it. This method works for at least 48 hours.

Not too tight, but that's a lot for a Greyhound. I have personally had my carry-on bag searched more than once, and likely my checked luggage at the same time. It's only been a handful of times, though, and I've been on more than a few Greyhounds.

Put more focus into not being noticed in the first place. Plain car, plain (courteous) driver, good paperwork, follow the laws, have a good excuse for going where you're going, hide large amounts of money like you would drugs (or just wire them beforehand), don't lose your nerve over a traffic ticket. Being clean-shaven, well-dressed, having a clean cab and keeping your cool will work wonders.
