I think I know who you are anon#1. Don't sue your parents, just tell them that you can't work for free anymore and find yourself another job.

I really doubt they will kick you out of the house. But call their bluff if they do and crash at a friends place. They will come around I'm sure.

Yeah I'm planning to negotiate with them first. Hopefully I won't have to pull a lawsuit on them.

Teach them a lesson they will never forget, you have a great case, if they don't meet your demands, you will see them in court.

Get on the books!  Or threaten to call the labour board and tell them that they have people working under the table.  That will make them fucking pay up.  The labour board doesn't like people not paying taxes.

If you really feel like you are being wronged, go on strike.  Stop showing up to work, and when they say something about it, tell them that you will show up when your paycheck arrives.

But also remember that it's really expensive to have kids, they almost certainly paid more money to raise you than they owe you.

But really you should settle this like a man - ask them politely to pay you.  Suing/reporting them would be a real bitch move.

back when our world wasn't so soft around the edges, people GLADLY worked for their parents in exchange for basic necessities
