If humanity survives this nonsense

Humanity is just one tiny blip in the Earth's lifetime. You know this because I've told you. Humans will go the way of Rome. In 100,000 years, I very much doubt our species will exist. In 1,000,000 years I am all but certain our species will be long gone and the Earth will move right along with not a scrap of evidence left that we ever existed.

And in 5 billion years, the sun will run out of hydrogen fuel and expand into a red giant destroying the Earth. The orbit of Earth will then be INSIDE the sun. And that will be the end of all life here, including the pandas, yes. :cryariver:

We're not that powerful. Your talk reminds me of the catholics during inquisition days insisting that humans are special and at the center of god's universe. And the stars, sun, moon, and planets all revolve around us.

Get over yourself. We are an insignificant force in the grand scheme.

Over 99% of all species that ever existed are now extinct. That is not the fault of homo sapiens. The average lifespan of a species is about 2 million years. Every species will eventually find itself maladapted to a changing environment, and die off, making room for other species to take their place. Yes, this even applies to us. Species do not adapt, they form offshoots of better adapted species, then disappear. We are not a cause or effect, but a small part of an ongoing process.
