Holy fucking batshit. Mitt Romneys father was an imigrant who abused our welfare system for years according to his mother. I guess without welfare  Mitt Romneys father would have starved to death and he wouldnt be here amusing us all with his sad joke of a campaign today.

Well theres the video of his mom I posted , she clearly says it."he was on welfare for years" Im just guessing he might have starved I cant support a guess. You see the irony in  attacking welfare and people on it when your own father was on it , for years, right?

I never said that quoting a racist made one a racist...I implied that quoting a racist doesn't mean that one is NOT a racist.

You are a racist.  I couldn't care less who you quote or what mental gymnastics you engage in to justify your racism.  You're a racist. 

Certainly, you're entitled to subscribe to whatever nonsensical belief system you choose.  Some believe that a celestial being created the universe in 7 days...others believe that the color of a man's skin determines his character.  You're entitled to be as ignorant as you like.  I couldn't care less.

It just tells me that your judgment is clouded by bias.  It makes your opinion worthless to me.  I'm sure that there are people that have similar biases and would value your opinion more highly because of your bias.  You're welcome to preach to the choir of your choice.  I, however, am not a member of your congregation and see no further point in attempting to have a rational conversation with you.

  I never said I could prove what I guessed otherwise I wouldnt call it that. Ok I retract that statement for arguments sake. The point Im making  is that Romneys own father was Immigrant welfare abusing parasite. So what s your guess as to where Romney would be without his father who didnt care about his life at the time, taking advantage of our wealth redistribution  program ?

Now, now, Psilynut told you that "starving" was beside the point, and he correctly noted Romney's hypocrisy on this key issue: Romney's family lived for years on welfare yet Romney has decried government entitlements and disparaged people who rely on them.  Apparently the cognitive dissonance is too painful for you to acknowledge the truth; instead, you willfully keep your focus beside the point.  The truth, Romney's blatant hypocrisy, is not as hard to take as it seems (I hope to assure you); your present discomfort with this issue will ease when you accept it for what it is and deal with it and others honestly.

  Do you have proof that he didnt abuse it? Do we even know if his father  legally, Id like to see some certificates or something. The long form ones.

Hey, Therian, I agree with Enlil's response to you; I tried to tell you the same thing.  One difference: I cannot tell for sure from your recent posts, but you seem to be condemning the fact that others are racist and hypocritically disparage racism, but you don't really seem to be disparaging racism at all, just the hypocrisy.  I don't know--maybe you're leaning towards a change though.  People can change.  Why not say racism is wrong no matter who practices it?  You'd have a more rational basis and stand on firmer moral ground to dispise certain blacks, Obama and Sharpton, for example, if you drop your prejudice.  Luvdemshrooms, for example, despises both, I'm sure he wouldn't mind me saying, but his disgust is rational and based on his values; I wouldn't say he's a racist--he's not--even though he shares your dislike of the same two characters, wrongheaded ideas about race do not muck up his thinking or distract from his arguments.  So, are you committed to racial prejudice or are you changing/have you changed--it would be honorable to do so.  Also, fwiw, you shouldn't drink and post comments at the same time :grin:

Your demanding proof of something I said when I clearly said I was guessing even though I said I take it back so we can focus on the real point of what I said. From what I've read, it looks like you're just engaging in the same rhetoric that you criticize romney for using.  You say that his family abused welfare without any evidence to support it, and you justify it by saying that romney thinks that everyone on welfare is abusing it.

In addition, you seem to think that anyone who doesn't reject everything romney has ever said or done is somehow pro-romney.  I am neither pro-romney nor pro-obama.  If I had my choice, neither would be in politics at all. That doesn't mean that I forsake reason and fairness by accusing them of things of which I have no evidence.

It weakens your credibility, and therefore your argument, when you engage in unsupported hyperbole such as claiming that romney would have starved if his parents didn't abuse welfare.  It's sleazy and makes you look like someone who would say anything just to turn one more person against Romney.
