You Know You're Addicted to Growing Mushrooms When... * 2

This thread is meant for all of you who are more addicted to the act of growing mushrooms then you are to actually eating them, haha.

Feel free to add to this thread in the following manner:

"You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when" <- insert funny/true statement here.

I'll start things off with a couple of my own that stem from real life experience:

You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when you stop going to the gym because shaking grain jars has become your new workout.

You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when you start drinking coffee exclusively because you can't tell your wife you're only brewing it (and dumping it out) because you need the spent coffee grounds "to mix with your other piles of dirt" (substrate ingredients).

You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when you start using mason jars as drinking glasses because there are so many laying around the house.

You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when you've got a 40lb bag of bird seed in the pantry right next to your dog and cat food...and you don't have a bird feeder.

You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when you've got enough "oven safe bags" in your cupboard to cook enough turkeys for the entire homeless population of New York City.

You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when you've pondered the idea of whether or not it's safe to ingest a substance called "vermiculite".

You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when you know what vermiculite is.

You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when you store your shoes in a bin that has hundreds of holes in it.

You know you are addicted to growing mushrooms when you've had to explain to friends/family why your shoe bin has hundreds of holes in it (for ventilation of your smelly shoes).

I've got a couple of others, but that should get the ball rolling.

Nice thread, but a lot of the things listed are things that any noob would know/do.

You know you're addicted when your third flowhood craps out, so you plug in your spare.

You know you're addicted when cleaning involves hosing down the floors and walls.

Was going to ask what happened to doc t the other day...haven't seen him since the shroomery blackout. Anyone know whats up or did the blackout just creep him out?

Then again, if he was that hardcore we'd never see him in the first place.
