I agree. I like coming to the end of the day or the end of a job and seeing my finished work. It's great when all is said and done and I have a nice wad of cash in my pocket and I'm just wondering, "what's next?"
Having a job is good to teach you responsibility and self discipline. Hard labour like the job I do is nice too because it's just a massive workout all summer. I'm a little guy too so it really helps me put on some muscle, putting in at least 4 hours a day of heavy lifting or digging, and the other 4-6 of lighter work.
Don't listen to the people saying that work is a shitty government conspiracy. They just think they're better than the population and are entitled to live off of the hard work of others for free. Generally speaking(minus asshole coworkers or bosses), your day job will either be as enjoyable or as miserable as you make it out to be. With a good attitude, a job can sometimes not even feel like a job. Especially an outdoor one. I go for outdoor jobs every summer. Landscaping, fences, roofing(roofing legitimately sucks though, but like I said, I'm small.), siding, eavestrough, decks, patios, there is SO much stuff to do. I have a boss that does everything too, and I've learned so much in just a few years of summer jobs. I hope to be able to price and run my own jobs whenever the opportunity arises.
