Ever experience instant Karma?

for instance,

Earlier this morning I was walking into a store with a friend andas we came to the front of the building I noticed my gum was stagnant so I said "I have to spit out this gum." My friend said "well don't spit it out here because someone will walk on it coming out of the building." I responded with "meh" and spat the gum in an arch out in front of me. While doing so, I failed to see I needed to step up on the curb, so my shoe got caught up and I started to stumble. My Hands were firmly stuffed into my pockets, so I couldn't regain balance in time. I fell, and I fell right onto the piece of gum I was just told not to spit out.

So here I am now scraping gum off my jeans.

I'd place my bets that 99.999% of stuff in this universe is stuff that karma doesn't even apply to. How does karma apply to dark energy or dark matter? Or regular matter for instance? There are much more comets then there are people or organisms who are actually conscious and thus have the term karma apply to them.


I 'believe' in karma in a very handsoff way, my belief is that if you do good for people naturally good happens for you.. it just makes sense. You help someone, they help you back, and you feel better about yourself which naturally leads to better choices and a better situation in life, but I don't believe the idea of karma is somehow coded into the workings of our universe. To me it is nothing more than a nifty term applicable to our small civilization in the little corner of our solar system.

No karma is when you try to fling a handful of shit at someone and a strong backwind comes and it flies black and splatters in your face

Karma is when you dump toxic chemicals in a lake and then the fish have cancer

Karma is when you plant a seed and it motherfucking grows

Regardless of how it manifests, or who. It's an action and a subsequent reaction.
It states nothing about good or bad, which are completely subjective.

Hippies have a fucked up idea of karma.

For the most part, you reap what you sow.

I'd like karma to be real but I don't believe in it. one look at the world tells me that there's too many good people that get the short end of the stick in life and too many assholes left unpunished for karma to exist. If I were to identify with a certain religion it would be buddhism or jainism because I more or less agree with the philosophy, but the supernatural stuff like reincarnation and karma I consider just as farfetched as western religions

My thoughts exactly. I know way too many people that deserve much more and got fucked in the ass, while most people who are complete and utter assholes get rewarded day in day out til the day they die.

I view Karma like this: There is no real good karma and bad karma, all karma just is. This means that even if you do something good for someone, something bad can happen to you as a result. That is karma. How your actions lead to things happening to you. For example, the other day I was driving and approaching a green light, I saw there was someone trying to pull out of their parking spot, so I slowed down and let them out, and in doing so I missed the light :mad:

because I've done plenty of good things for people and still had really shitty things happen to me, leading me to believe that just because you do good, good will not necessarily happen to you.

I just had some instant karma

I asked to bum a smoke and a guy hooked it up. so we're talking and he ends up liking psychedelics. So I run home and bring him back 2g of mushrooms for being kind to a complete stranger. He thanks me, andthen pulled out a big nug and hands it to me

instant karma or call it what ever you will, has always been there for me,slowing me down when i'm doing things wrong and speeding things up through synchronicity when i'm doing things right. i had a salvia trip years ago which was trying to teach me that we waste too much energy through our movement, and to plan our movements in advance to save energy. now i know salvia's some crazy shit, but this does make sense really.
