To those who are against the war.....

You all remind me of spoiled children getting upset at their parents for no rational reason. Please stop taking freedom for granted. Try to put the pieces tougether by understanding Iraq and it's history.

I'm upset because of the backlash this will create. We are putting ourselves at greater risk to terrorism than before. This war definitely doesn't help our image as an imperialist power bent on world domination. By the way, I cherish freedom very much, which is why I hate the fact that this administration has used wartime hysteria to pass legislation like the Patriot Act in order to subvert us.

Edit: You remind of those people who actually believe that weed supports terrorism.

It's not just what they think of us. It's what they're likely to do about it. If they feel we're out to conquer them all, they'll be the ones making the "pre-emptive strikes," which will make 9/11 look like nothing. Also, while we may never actually control the whole world, we are pretty close. Also, if you don't think the government is intent on controlling the world, I suggest you read about this organization . Look up who their members are. It's rather sobering to think about.

The risk we are taking to do this only underscores how important it is that it be done. Bush is risking a second term, republican control, and Americas reputation. If things go wrong it is practically suicide. That to me doesn't jive with what people seem to think Bush's goals are.

To please them? No. But to prevent future terrorist attacks? Yes, I believe that is a cause worth altering our behavior for, especially when all it requires is minding our own damn business.

It's not just what they think of us. It's what they're likely to do about it. If they feel we're out to conquer them all, they'll be the ones making the "pre-emptive strikes," which will make 9/11 look like nothing. Also, while we may never actually control the whole world, we are pretty close. Also, if you don't think the government is intent on controlling the world, I suggest you read about this organization . Look up who their members are. It's rather sobering to think about.

There won't be an increase in terrorist attacks- the terrorists will still be plotting at their normal pace.

The government isn't intent on controlling the world period. No link will prove anything, or diswade my opinion.

Bush is not alone here. He has a lot of very intelligent people who advise him on every issue. These adviseres know more about international issues and I'm sure many are smarter that most anyone on this board. Bush is way to stipid to have made it this far without relying on other people for help.

When Al Queda attacked the WTC, bin Laden took a big risk of alienating potential recruits by creating worldwide sympathy. But in the short time since then, this administration has managed to turn that sympathy around so that we are now more hated than ever before. That's why the real winner of this war will be Osama bin Laden.
