No there is no meaning to life. From all the information at our disposal you can conclude that we are nothing more than matter being manipulated by the impersonal forces of the universe.

What information at our disposal leads to this conclusion?

Information is subject to the parameters of its interpretation.

No meaning is a form of meaning.

It's more like the lack of information--we don't have any information that can lead us to conclude that there is an objective meaning to life.

Agreed.  But i would argue that the reason it cannot be proven is because and parallel with the fact that a deep reality cannot be proven.  But this does not mean that a deep reality does not exist.

Agreed; it does not necessarily mean that a deep reality does not exist.

life is subjectively experienced, so its meaning on a subjective level varies. why are we alive? the answer is simple: to live. any other answer is simply a projection of an individual's ego/shadow-centric desires.

Not even. There is no purpose because purpose implies intent. That would require consciousness. We are nothing more than matter being manipulated by various physical forces.

The fact that through the scientific method which relies on senses, we have discovered physical and quantifiable explanations without fail for previously unknown phenomenon. To say there is anything more than this is to rely solely on conjecture and the fact that it is a possibility when anything is a possibility.

manipulation implies intent as well. we can all agree that we exist in some degree or other, and the best explanation as to why is that because we're supposed to be. even from the most staunch, rationalist and atheistic view point one could not deny that without contradicting themselves. things are the way they are because that's how they have to be for us to be here. and on that note we don't exactly have the entire picture of how that's happening either. that doesn't necessarily imply a singular, supernatural personality at the helm. the term supernatural in itself implies something that isn't present in nature, and if it isn't present in nature how can we experience it on any level? in any case all we have is what our instrumentation (internal and external) gives us from our own unique place in space/time. there's much of what we don't know and probably even more of what we can't being constrained by our finite experience of reality.

i personally think asking the question of "what are you going to do now that you're here?" first tends to lead to the answer of "why" anyway.

also, to expound on my points, i think our subjective experience also leads to building a model of the universe based on causality, as in the world being a created thing because it reflects our personal, linear experience of the cosmos through the course of our lives. i think a big piece of the puzzle is understanding our relationship to time.

to a degree. every living thing possesses a distinct level of consciousness that allows it to exist in accord with its environment. plant consciousness has been studied and is very real, and not in a "plant spirits" hippy moonspeak sort of way either.

Sure we are "supposed" to be here, but that is just because the impersonal laws make it that way.

How does the discovery of physical and quantifiable explanations for previously unknown phenomenon with the use of scientific methods prove that there is no meaning to life?  I would argue that this conclusion is conjecture also.
Scientific methods have given quantifiable explanations for previously unknown phenomenon, what does this mean?
You may choose only one
