What does tripping mean to you?
    #383314 - 09/01/01 12:25 PM (23 years, 24 days ago)

For me it is but a tool, an avenue on which I travel, to help me maximize my potential to the fullest, in a sense I suppose they help to complete me by causing me, sometimes unwillingly to see the truth. The forest through the trees, as it were. Petty human trifilings and rituals cease to matter in this true light of things. This has caused me as a person to have more empathy for humanity as a whole, and has caused me to focus more on the eventual path of humanity, as well as all the possible paths that we could take. Of course these thoughts and feelings are a product my genes as well as the life I led. In my opinion shrooms do not expand your mind as is commonly expressed, but rather help to maximize ones potential. Through mushrooms I have touched upon what i have come to beleif as perfection, I have experienced what it has been like to be whole; complete. Of course, I do also believe that this state can only be attained through regiments of strict mediation, and acute control of ones feelings and emotions. Unfortunetly by our very nature humans are phycologically and emotionally volatile, and it is only through reason and enlightenment that we will be able to conquer and embrace the beauty and wonder of life and the universe. This is what tripping means to me.

"And then you will realize the truth; there is no spoom."

tripping accompanied me on my way of changing my personality. i dont know if this change was started due to tripping or if it was just a side-effect of my change.
i dunno if this change is good or bad for me, i care less for material values than in the past years, emotional things became more important. that contradicts the western worlds livestyle to some degree.

i think tripping is a spiritual thing for me, i try to find answers to questions that i have in my mind. about life, what it is and whats my role in it.
And its also a lot of fun :)

tripping for me is an unnecessary divergence from the true path. Trips interrupt as much as they assist growth. They are interesting that way. Maybe I am just a slow integrater, or maybe my trips are just too intense. Essentially, trips occur outside of time the way dreams do, as existential messages. Telling you exactly what you need to know, but usually in a way that you are not quite ready for.
There is also an inherent connection to bliss, mystery, transcendence, excellence, accountability, trial and test, and forever more than can be simply said. Time travel, intergalatic communication, past life recovery, archetypal sex, alchemical revelation, the fountains of creativity and beauty, collective and individual appreciation and understanding. divine intervention. I guess the pithy way of saying it is a way to appreciate the extent of our souls as they are being created.
