Alfafa Hay cakes substrate

Has anyone here tried using alfafa hay cakes as a substrate? I can only get the alfafa hay from the petshop,the one for rabbits. Do I still need to put it in the pressure CookeR?

Alfalfa would be a good bulk substrate. Use grains and or BRF as the initial substrate, then when that is colonized add it to some pasteurized alfalfa and see how it goes. That's how I would do it at least.
