I'd say they are just trying to appeal to our greed, in order to get us to stop and wonder whether or not World War III would be a good thing at this time.

I look at it this way Inn. The more we spend, the more we are involved. The more we are involved, the more the repercussions could be. If it is nuclear they are right next door.

They have good reasons to be concerned about how we handle this situation.

Make sense?

Actually..if you read back, you'll notice that the Canadians that posted don't care what you spend...it's your fellow Yanks that care... I just don't want Canada to have to bail you out financially... :smirk:

that's a stretch. maybe another more relavant sin would be the world's envy of the money we spend. To imply greed is false as we spend more than any other country on foreign aid...ask N. Korea

this has nothing to do with the question i asked but when is a good time for WW3?

we're either involved of we aren't..there's no in between. We're not France ya know.

that's like being a little pregnant, see above

this also has nothing to do with the question i asked. People are complaining about how much we are spending (which i am against, i'm playing devil's advocat)when it will not effect them one bit.

does this make sense?

Another one of your rediculous comparisons. You cannot be a little pregnant, but you can be a little involved.

Come on, you can do better than that. Can't you?

That's recockulous!

Nah, just kidding.

You do bring up a valid point, albeit somewhat obscurely.

What you are asking about is a person's motivation.  That could be many things.  It could be a Canadian that is jealous of America or any number of things.

One of those things, as I pointed out, could be that they are leery of a country they perceive and an administration that they perceive that is pushing an issue that will have nuclear armament deployed against them for the war they are waging.

If that happens nuclear fallout will drift to Canada.  That is a valid concern for any Canadian in my view.

They, as a country, have a right to be concerned about what we, as a country are doing.  Hey, if they were fuxxing around with Red China I'd be very concerned about how much money they were spending to piss off the Red Chinese.  Oh, I forgot, we don't call them that anymore.

Cheers,
