Yeah, but that particular one was started by Hitler, so it obviously accomplished nothing.

My point was that sometimes we must go to war. Had no one gone to war and opposed hitler who knows what might have happened.

War defeated Hitler.
war has killed millions of human beings in the scope of our existence. do you think its kind of sad? isn't there something that we should aspire to, something other than fulfilling our own trivial desires of greed and power. war can now eliminate the planet, yet we are calling to it without any thought into how it will effect the current world. your example just shows a necessity that had to be done with a world thats built for destruction. it doesn't have to be this way, we are not pawns in some global war between good and evil. the only evil in this world stems from the authority that houses our madness for war.

Wow, I should stop by in this form more often, I love this kind of stuff! Anyway, I don't understand why people are so parnoid about Saddam selling his supposed WoMD. If he had them, which I doubt, he would never sell them. They would be what gives him power, he would be stupid to sell them.
Oh, I hope you don't mind if I post this on another site.

Well, Kadafi was responsible for terrorist attacks then Reagan bombed him and there hasn't been shit coming from him ever since.
Idk if you'd call that a war but settling something in a violent way got the picture across to him.

About 2 weeks ago it could continue like this:
PN: But the war will cost us billions!
WM: Not really, the short war will benefit the economy. We will get cheap oil and our companies will get the chance to rebuild Iraq.
PN: What if the war turns out long and complicated?
WM: It won't. Iraqui soldiers will surrender immediately intimidated by our force and technological supremacy. Iraqui people will throw flowers at our troops!
PN: What if they don't?
WM: USA army cannot be defeated, we will destroy them. Bagdad will be free in a week.
PN:
WM: Go and buy some Lockheed Martin shares. I bet they'll go up soon!

Of course, we are now encountering more resistance than previously believed, so we don't know how long the war will last. And this war will most likely be bad for the economy, especially considering the fact that we'll have to occupy the country for years afterwards.

Nice So far, I've not seen any of the pro-aggression folks try to knock holes in that 'dialogue'. Possibly because it would be difficult. There are replies from some who are pro-aggression and they don't even attempt to give a reason for the war. They are a little defensive and dance around the subject. Thanks for that post.

we are now encountering more resistance than previously believed, so we don't know how long the war will last and quoting defense secratory D. Rumsfeld: "This war could last 6 days, 6 weeks, or 6 months, we just don't know." *tsk tsk*, Rumsfeld...that silly old Satanist.

Ha! Great post.
But nowhere did the war monger give the real reason for invasion. From bushes own mouth he said: "our only interest in iraq, is the liberation of the iraqi people".
