I've been a big fan for many years now. The deeply flawed prophet. Lots of guts in certain ways and one of the most well read people around when it came to philosophy. Seems he was always reading a book. Flamed out in a few short years and left a huge imprint on the world of rock and roll. His star flamed bright and went out quick.:thumbup: Pretty smart if you ask me.

I think of Jim Morrison as a kind of shaman who uses his powers through his music and writing, as well as John Densmore through his drumming.

JD was a great drummer but he was completely out of his element as a member of the Doors.  Jim scared the shit out of him and gave him rashes and anxiety attacks.

This is one of my favorite Doors songs and always reminds me of my first love in High School. She turned me on to acid.
