What the fuck happened?...Did i faint?...

So something rather bizarre happened to me over the weekend...




Me and my buddies were at a camp out gathering in the mountains. It was about 3am and over the course of the night I had probably 5 beers or so, and had smoked a few bowls. So i was definitely not sober, but wasn't drunk or faded by any means...



Moments after smoking a bowl, i started to feel as if i was cross faded (really high and drunk), but kept thinking to my self there was no way i was that messed up off of such a small amount of beer...

I started to feel disconnected from everything. Then patterns started to completely overlay my entire field of vision...At this point i had no idea what the fuck was going on. I remained calm and focused on my breathing, just as i would during difficult times with psychedelics....


I decided to get up and walk around a bit...I seemed to be able to walk no problem, though the patterns in my vision were becoming more and more pronounced and i was slowly feeling more and more disconnected from everything...


....Next thing i know i find my self on the ground with my arms twitching and flailing around as i'm slowly coming back to consciousness...I had no idea how long i was "out" for, i sit up completely confused as to what the fuck just happened, with a weird headspace...Then casually walk back over to our camp site.

And then within minutes after all this happened i felt normal again but had a gnarly head ache come on......



This was a very bizarre experience, i would almost relate it to the feelings i get during a salvia experience or sleep paralysis...very odd.





The conclusion i came to was that i fainted :shrug: . The alcohol thinned my blood a bit, and i had taken Ginkgo Biloba earlier on in the day causing my blood vessels to dilate, and smoking weed also caused blood vessels to dilate, so i figured all that caused a sudden drop in blood pressure...But i take ginkgo every day, smoke weed every day, and have drank many beers before...but i've never fainted before in my life, or have even come close...




..And why was i twitching when i came to, and what was up with the patterns all across my vision?....

most likely you were light headed and when you stood up you changed your blood pressure and thus you passed out and had a slight seizure.

it's just your bodys way of "resetting" itself.

it's happened to me.


if it keeps happening then I would see a doctor about it.

This was all happening while i was sitting down, and i was walking around for a bit before i dropped...So it felt like it was going to happen either way..


Though standing up probably didn't help :shrug:

I have seen this first hand happen to two different people on completely random occasions while really high.
I've actually heard of this happening to a fair amount of people. I'm not sure why it happens :shrug:

Though usually people report different things. I've heard of patterns overlaying, I also often hear of people getting flashbacks of their past.

I have also heard of people fainting from weed, my guess is a sudden drop in blood pressure...But I consider my self a seasoned smoker and have never experienced this before, other than getting somewhat light headed from holding in a hit....



I'm sure i just fainted...But the experience had such a psychedelic/dissociative aspect to it...
